Questions
Unit - 1
- Q1. a) i) Write in single stroke inclined style, the following statement using ratio 6:4 “INTERSECTION OF LINES” ii) A point P is 45 mm above the HP and 35 mm behind the VP. Draw its projections. b) A line 70 mm long makes an angle of 30° from HP and lies in a plane perpendicular to both the HP and VP. Its one end is in HP and the other end is in VP. Draw its projections.
- Q2. Draw the projections of a cube of 50 mm side resting on the ground with one of its vertical faces inclined at 30° to VP. Its nearer vertical edge is 15 mm behind the VP and nearer horizontal face is 20 mm below HP?
Unit - 2
- Q3. A cone 45 mm bases and axis 60 mm long touch the VP on a point of its base circle. The axis is inclined at 30° to VP and the front view of the axis is inclined at 45° to HP. Draw its projections.
- Q4. A cube of side base 30 mm rests on the HP on one of its faces with a vertical face inclined at 30° to the VP. A plane perpendicular to the HP and inclined at 45° to the VP cuts the cube. Draw the top view and sectional front view. Also draw the true shape of the section.
Unit - 3
- Q5. Two circular pipes 80 mm and 50 mm diameters meet each other at 35° The axes of both the pipes are in one plane and the larger diameter pipe is vertical. Draw the projections showing the curves of intersection.
- Q6. A right cylinder of 30 mm diameter and 35 mm height of axis, is cut by a section plane inclined at 30° to the HP and passes 18 mm from base along the axis. Draw the development of the truncated cylinder.
Unit - 4
- Q7. A square prism base side 50 mm, height 60 mm is placed centrally on a rectangular slab sides 120 mm × 70 mm and thickness 30 mm. Draw the isometric projection of the combination.
- Q8. Draw the front view, top view and side view from the right of the figure shown in isometric view. All dimensions are in mm.
