Questions
SECTION - A
- Q1. Draw a curve for vectorial angle of $360^\circ$ which satisfies the equation $r = a^\theta$ where the constant $a = 14.17$.
- Q2. A pentagonal pyramid, side of base $30\text{mm}$ and height $60\text{mm}$, is held such that one of its base edges is on HP and the highest point of the base is $26\text{mm}$ above the HP, while its axis is parallel to VP. Draw the front and top views of the pyramid in the given position. Also draw an auxiliary front view on an auxiliary plane perpendicular to the HP and inclined at $30^\circ$ to the edge on which it is resting such that the base is visible.
- Q3. A plate in the form of an isosceles triangle has base $45\text{mm}$ and altitude $60\text{mm}$. It is so placed that front view is seen as an equilateral triangle of $45\text{mm}$ sides and : (i) Base inclined at $45^\circ$ to the HP. (ii) Side inclined at $45^\circ$ to the HP. Draw its plan when its corner A is on the HP.
- Q4. A right regular square pyramid, edge of base $30\text{mm}$ and height $60\text{mm}$, rests on its base on HP with its base edges equally inclined to VP. A section plane perpendicular to the VP and inclined to the HP at $30^\circ$, cuts the pyramid bisecting its axis. Draw the front view and true shape of section of the truncated pyramid.
SECTION - B
- Q5. Develop the lateral surface of a cylindrical three piece offset symmetrical fitting shown in figure.
- Q6. A connecting rod end, of $40\text{mm}$ diameter has a rectangular block, $50\text{mm}$ wide and $20\text{mm}$ thick, forged at its end. The two portions are joined by fillet of $R\ 20\text{mm}$, draw the projections of the rod showing curves of intersection.
- Q7. A cube, of $30\text{mm}$ edge, is placed centrally on top of a cylindrical block of $52\text{mm}$ diameter and $20\text{mm}$ height. Draw the isometric drawing of the solids.
- Q8. Isometric view of an object is given in the following figure. Draw Front, Top and suitable side views for object and dimension the views.
