- QQ2. (a) State and explain spontaneous and stimulated emission of light. Discuss Einstein's co-efficient and derive relation between them. (b) Find the maximum value of the angle of incidence that a ray can make with the axis of a fibre such that it is guided through the fibre when $n_1 = 1.5$ and $n_2 = 1.4$. Assume $\mu_0 = 1$ [20 marks]
