Section - A
- QQ1. (a) Determine the current "X" in the 4 ohm resistance of the circuit as shown in the circuit? (b) Find the equivalent resistance for the following circuit and hence calculate the current supplied by the same and also explain the ohm's law in detail? [20 marks]
- QQ2. (a) Explain the energy sources like voltage and current sources in detail along with their types? (b) Explain the kirchhoff's voltage law and the point law in detail with the help of suitable examples? [20 marks]
- QQ3. Explain the mesh analysis used in the circuit? Also find out the current in each mesh using mesh current analysis and power delivered by each source? [20 marks]
- QQ4. (a) For the circuit shown in figure, find the current in each branch by nodal method? (b) Explain the thevenin's theorem along with its equivalent circuit. Also write down the limitation of the thevenin's theorem? [20 marks]

- QQ5. A coil of resistance 10 ohm and inductance 0.02 H is connected in series with another coil of resistance 6 ohm and inductance 12 mH across a 230 volt, 50 Hz. Calculate (a) Impedance of the circuit (b) voltage drop across each coil (b) Total power consumed by the circuit Also Explain the causes and disadvantages of low power factor in detail? [20 marks]
