Instructions

There will be six questions in all, five from section B. (Each of 15 marks) and one compulsory question of 55 marks. Students are required to attempt four questions in all, three from section B and one compulsory question from Section A.
Assume suitable any missing dimensions.
Use of scientific calculator is allowed.

Q1. Details of three way stop valve are shown in Figure A. Draw the following assembled views : (a) Front view, full in section (b) Right side view outside (c) Top view outside, removing the hand wheel (d) Prepare a part list and Bill of Materials. [55 marks]

Q2. Draw the sectional front, top and side view of a knuckle joint to join two pipes of diameter 30 mm each. [15 marks]
Q3. Draw the full-sectional front view and top view of Oldham's coupling for diameter 40 mm. [15 marks]
Q4. Draw the full-sectional front view and top view of a Double riveted single plate butt joint for plates of 20 mm thickness. [15 marks]
Q5. Draw the full-sectional front view and top view of a Double riveted single plate butt joint for plates of 25 mm thickness. [15 marks]
Q6. Draw half sectional view from the side, left half in section, of a split-muff coupling, indicating proportions to connect two shafts, each of diameter 40 mm. [15 marks]
