A beam simply supported over a span of 6 m carries a superimposed load of 40 KN/m. The centre to centre spacing of beans is 3 m. Design the midspan section of an intermediate beam as a T-section for the following additional data. Thickness of slab = 120 mm Width of web = 200mm. Load factor = 1.5. Total depth of beam = 600 mm. Effective cover = 65 mm. Use concrete grade M20 and Fe 250 grade of steel.
