Design a V - belt drive system for a 5 kW normal torque motor, which operates at 1440 rpm with a light duty compressor operating at 970 rpm. The compressor runs for 24 hours on daily basis. The centre distance is 500 mm. The pitch diameter of driving pulley is 150 mm. Design the belt and suggest parameters of rim and hub.
