Eligibility
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government, plus basic computer knowledge
- Age: 20 to 30 years
- Nationality: Citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 intending to permanently settle in India, or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan/Burma/Sri Lanka/East African countries/Vietnam intending to permanently settle…
- Age relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years
- Age relaxation for OBC (non-creamy layer): 3 years
- Age relaxation for PwBD: 10 years
Age and educational qualification reckoned as on 01-07-2026 (born between 02-07-1996 and 01-07-2006 inclusive). Final graduation result must be declared and candidate must possess the qualifying degree on or before the last date for registration (21/26-07-2026, per notification wording candidates should check the exact official cut-off date)
Selection process
- Preliminary Examination: Online objective test, qualifying only, marks not counted in final merit
- Main Examination: Online objective plus descriptive (Essay and Comprehension), marks counted in final merit
- Personality Test: Non-qualifying self-report behavioural assessment, profile shared with Interview panel
- Common Interview: Conducted by participating banks coordinated by IBPS, minimum qualifying 40 percent General/EWS and 35 percent SC/ST/OBC/PwBD
- Final Merit and Provisional Allotment: Combined Mains and Interview score in 80:20 ratio, followed by bank allotment
Exam pattern
- Prelims, 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes, Online, negative marking: One-fourth of the marks assigned to the question deducted for a wrong answer, no penalty for unanswered
- Mains Objective, 170 questions, 200 marks, 160 minutes, Online, negative marking: One-fourth of the marks assigned to the question deducted for a wrong answer, no penalty for unanswered
- Mains Descriptive (Essay and Comprehension), 2 questions, 25 marks, 30 minutes, Online, negative marking: No negative marking
